What is the One?

The One is Ultimate Reality—the nondual Source of all, wholly transcendent relative to the manifest world. Its essence is beyond every attribute and cannot be directly spoken of; any description concerns only the activities or emanations that appear in relation to Nous, Dyad, and Matrix.

As the first principle, the One is non-dual and utterly transcendent, not a temporal agent operating “inside” the world. It does not act like a being within time; rather, all being and order arise from its self-disclosure through intermediary principles.

Evil and suffering do not originate in the One itself. They arise within the Matrix as features of finitude, limitation, and entropy—conditions that emerge once manifestation and differentiation occur.

Mystical experience, then, is not a matter of divine intervention within events. It is an ascent or participation in relation to the Source, a turning toward the nondual ground that underlies all things. In this turning, the soul encounters the One not as an object but as the ground of its own being.

Across traditions, this principle appears as the Eternal Dao, Brahman, the Unconditioned, the Ine, the Good, Godhead, Ein Sof, Allah, al‑Ḥaqq, or the Ground of Being, Divine Essence, the Invisible Spirit.
