Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal,
have mercy on me.
From Psalm 51
Open my lips, O Lord, *
and my mouth shall proclaim your praise.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, *
and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from your presence *
and take not your holy Spirit from me.
Give me the joy of your saving help again *
and sustain me with your bountiful Spirit.
Glory to the + Father, and the Son,
and the Holy Spirit,
Both now and forever
and to the ages of ages.
Amen.
A Reading: I Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ!
By his great mercy we have been
born anew to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ
from the dead.
Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day He rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.
Pray The Psalter
Glory to the + Father, and the Son,
and the Holy Spirit,
Both now and forever
and to the ages of ages. Amen.
Prayers (Form VI)
In peace, we pray to you, Lord God.
For all people
in their daily life and work;
For our families, friends,
and neighbors, and for those
who are alone.
For this community, the nation,
and the world;
For all who work for
justice, freedom, and peace.
For the just and proper use
of your creation;
For the victims of hunger,
fear, injustice, and oppression.
For all who are in danger,
sorrow, or any kind of trouble;
For those who minister to the sick,
the friendless, and the needy.
For the peace and unity
of the Church of God;
For all who proclaim the Gospel,
and all who seek the Truth.
For Sean Rowe, our Presiding Bishop,
and Michael Hunn, our local Bishop;
and for all bishops and other ministers;
For all who serve God in his Church.
For the special needs and concerns
of my local congregation.
You may add their own petitions
Hear us, Lord;
For your mercy is great.
We thank you, Lord, for all the blessings of this life.
You may add their own thanksgivings
We will exalt you,
O God our King;
And praise your Name
for ever and ever.
We pray for all who have died,
that they may have a place
in your eternal kingdom.
Lord, let your loving-kindness
be upon them;
Who put their trust in you.
We pray to you also
for the forgiveness of our sins.
Silence may be kept.
Have mercy upon us,
most merciful Father;
in your compassion
forgive us our sins,
known and unknown,
things done and left undone;
and so uphold us by your Spirit
that we may live and serve you
in newness of life,
to the honor and glory of your Name;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass
against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
The Collect
Lord God,
almighty and everlasting Father,
you have brought us in safety
to this new day:
Preserve us with your mighty power,
that we may not fall into sin,
nor be overcome by adversity;
and in all we do,
direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
