I recommend you do the Daily Prayer first, then the Prayer Rope, and then a 20-minute contemplative meditation session. If you have done the Daily Prayer, then you can skip the Lord’s Prayer.
Beginning Prayers
“In the name of the Father and of the Son of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
“Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on me.” (Thrice).
“Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.”
The Jesus Prayer
“Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me.”
Concluding Prayer
“Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
both now and forever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.”
OR
“Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.”
This is a greatly simplified version of The Rule of St. Pachomius.
