Why I am a Democratic Socialist

I am a socialist because I believe we should help one another. Those well off should help the less fortunate.

The best way to do this is to have the workers own the means of production. Once they are owners they are invested in the production.

I am a Democratic Socialist because I believe that those who are effected by a decision should have a say in that decision.

Capitalists don’t believe in democracy. Businesses are run as dictatorships. Because you don’t own the business you have no say so in its operations.
The Democratic Socialists of America is the largest socialist organization in the United States. It currently has over 92,000 members and chapters in all 50 states. Check out there website if you want to learn more.
