An interesting thing I noticed about motivation. Most people think motivation comes before you do anything. But I have found that motivation comes after you begin doing it.
In other words motivation comes in doing. And the key to doing, it’s the start acting.
There is a cool little trick to overcome procrastination. It is to countdown from five, and then blast off into action. For some reason the short-circuits procrastination.
Next time you need to do something, try this. In your mind begin a countdown. Say to yourself, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, blast off.
And when you get the blast off, jump into action. It is in the action you will begin to feel the motivation.
This is the key to overcoming inertia. For a body at rest tends to stay at rest, and a body in motion stays in motion.
