Decoding Buddha-Nature

You hear a lot in Mahayana Buddhism about Buddha-Nature. What does that mean?

Who can tell. It seems many have no clear concept of it.

I will give you my translation of it into Humanist terms.

Buddha-Nature is a persons potentiality. Everyone has the potential to awaken. That is, everyone can become more mindful in everyday life.

But, you might complain, that’s not what Buddhists mean. Maybe not, but I am teaching Humanism not Buddhism.
